FJ6 - Sassy Grass Green

(Updated 03/22/2009)
Sassy Grass Green is another witty Chrysler Corporation color name. I'm not sure if it's some reference to Sassafras or what. If you have an idea what it means please email me with your suggestion. It is also one of the optional High-impact colors, and as such would have cost you an extra $14.05 to order. Seems like a good deal to me. Sometimes it's very difficult to tell the difference between FJ5 cars and FJ6 cars when you're dealing with photos. When you see the cars in person though it's very easy. FJ6 is the darker of the two. FJ6 and FM3 were colors added during the model year (Feb. 1970). |
Due to the large number of pictures now on this site and a long layoff from updating it, I can no longer give individual credit to each picture. Though I have taken a lot of the shots myself this site would be nothing without the contributions of some of my friends. Andy Cockroft, Barry Washington, Jeff Bangert, Tom Tully, Alan Munro and Diego Rosenberg have provided me with shots. A lot of pictures were also grabbed off of the internet at places like the The Challenger T/A Registry, Transamcuda.com, The AARchives, Moparts, eBay and various muscle car dealer sites. If you would like credit for a picture that is yours please let me know and I will do so.
Thanks,
Ken Bowser
