No items were claimed last month, but two were added to the found section in December. So as of this writing, there are still 9,018 items waiting to be claimed.

Our first IOTM for 2019 is another broadcast sheet. This one was hand delivered last week by Ed. B. on the Carlisle Events staff. It had been found inside a file jacket & turned into their 'Lost & Found'. Most places purge their lost & found sections at years end, but Ed spotted this file before it could be thrown away & had to open it.

Thankfully he did! This broadcast sheet is for a 1971 Satellite Brougham, the VIN on it is RP41G1R127784 & as always proof of legal ownership & proof the car still exists will be required to claim it.

Someone posted photos of the car at a car show back in 2004 and it appeared to be in great condition, so chances are very good that it still exists!

March is our anniversary month here at Hamtramck Historical. This website is now 14 years old!

Our April IOTM is another broadcast sheet & this one has had a very long journey. It was found in a 1970 Challenger exported to Greece & as happens so often, it did not match the car it was found in due to how the sub-assembly lines were run. Thankfully a broadcast sheet that did match his car was found in another seat!

So all the way from the USA to Greece & back, it has some miles racked up on it. It is in very good condition though.

Our May IOTM is a broadcast sheet that just came in the mail a few days ago. It was found inside a bucket seat of an AAR Cuda even though the VINs of the two cars were hundreds of VINs apart.

This is actually very common since the cars were not built in VIN order.

This broadcast sheet was first mentioned to me by Craig back in 2008. Sadly, we lost him to cancer in January.

One of his friends let me know of his passing & mailed in the broadcast sheet Craig found years ago, thanks Ajaib!

The VIN on this AAR broadcast sheet is BS23J0B298814

No items were claimed in May, but three Challenger T/A owners were able to get the original blocks back 'home' to their matching cars! It is amazing what can happen when people report what they have & see. This is why Registries have registration forms for the cars they specialize in. Having the car owners contact information on file & current can lead to wonderful reunions.

Our July IOTM is a broadcast sheet for a 1970 Challenger 340 , the VIN is JH23H0B271433 & it was originally ordered from overseas by a member of our US Military.

The car was reportedly in Raleigh, NC in 1989. Does that ring any bells with anyone?

Our August IOTM is a damaged broadcast sheet for a 1970 Cuda 383 & it is a bit of a mystery. The printer spacing is off by one space but I can not determine the final VIN digit. The part of it I can read is BS23N0B34908 - something. So if you have a Cuda with a 383 that could have one of the missing digits from 0 - 9, please contact me to confirm the vehicle order number! I'll see if it matches your fender tag or other original paperwork you may have.

One of the broadcast sheets turned in during the Chryslers at Carlisle show was for a Challenger T/A that Bill had found in his T/A over the winter. When I got home with it that night, I checked my files & the car had been registered in 1999 from a location less than an hour away. This will be easy I thought, but not so.....

His contact information was long out of date, so I could not reach him.

A few days later, I walked into the local NAPA & Warren was behind the counter & he just happened to mention living in the same town where the T/A was, so I mentioned the owners name because car guys know other car guys. It turned out he was actually friends with the owner & had his contact information!

So I contacted Ron, but he had sold the car! Thankfully he had sold it to one of his pals, so yet another lead to follow.

I was able to contact Curtis & he was about an hour away, so he invited me down to see the car, so that was the first broadcast sheet I have ever been able to deliver in person.

Neither Ron nor Curtis knew if the car had ever been searched for broadcast sheets before, so he let me search it. We found two more! The one in the back seat matched his car & the one in the passenger side seat back was for a different T/A, one completely new to me. So for our current IOTM the VIN on this broadcast sheet is JH23J0B297662

Three more items were claimed in September! No matter how many times it happens, it always feels great.

Our current IOTM is a broadcast sheet that was sent in by a member of Moparts. He found two broadcast sheets, one matched his car & this one was for a different car as is so common due to how the sub-assembly lines were run at the Hamtramck plant.

This broadcast sheet is in poor condition & it is for a 1970 Challenger R/T convertible, the VIN on it is JS27N0B162209.
